Illustrated book's project "The great penguin war" completed
The illustrated children's book project "The Great Penguin War" is now complete and seeking publishers!
Created in collaboration with writer Matilde Tacchini and agent
Davide Calì,
the book tells the story of a unique war involving penguins in an unexpected way.
Here is a blurb for the back cover (even though I'm not the writer of the story):
"Many years ago, penguins could be found in every corner of the world. They lived happily with humans, but one day a great war broke out, the greatest war ever seen. The humans ran out of wapons and started using penguins as arrows. The war ended with no winners because there were no more penguins. The king who started the war set out to find more penguins but ended up in Africa and discovered rhinoceroses instead..."
The storyboard and two final hand-painted gouache illustrations are ready.
The first one depicts the outbreak of the war

with three armies in different uniforms displayed on a "world" map.
The second illustration shows the
soldiers
running out of weapons and fighting with improvised arms, bites, and scratches, but someone spots a penguin...
This project is unique and very entertaining, a story that children will love. The project is seeking publishers, so please don't hesitate to contact me for more information.
